Complete TOP 5 European league football results 1st & 2nd April. Starting with Premier League.

Premier League football results 1st & 2nd April, matchweek 30:

  • Liverpool 3-1 Everton
  • Burnley 0-2 Tottenham
  • Hull 2-1 West Ham
  • Leicester 2-0 Stoke
  • Manchester United 0-0 West Bromwich
  • Watford 1-0 Sunderland
  • Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace
  • Southampton 0-0 Bournemouth
  • Swansea 0-0 Middlesbrough
  • Arsenal 2-2 Manchester City

4 draws, of which 3 ended goalless. Merseyside Derby was great match, as expected. Liverpool won, as expected. Crystal Palace won 1-2 away at Chelsea, Arsenal vs Manchester City stenched of a draw, though the amount of goals was surprising and MUFC yet again played an underwhelming draw. That was Premier League matchweek 30 in a nutshell. Matchweek 31 will be a midweek round, it will be played between 4th & 5th of April. The single biggest match of the round will be Chelsea vs Manchester City.

La Liga football results 1st & 2nd April, matchweek 29:

  • Espanyol 2-1 Real Betis
  • Villarreal 2-3 Eibar
  • Osasuna 1-2 Athletic Bilbao
  • Real Sociedad 1-1 Leganes
  • Malaga 0-2 Atletico Madrid
  • Sevilla 0-0 Sporting Gijon
  • Real Madrid 3-0 Alaves
  • Valencia 3-0 Deportivo la Coruna
  • Granada 1-4 Barcelona
  • Celta Vigo 3-1 Las Palmas

Villarreal lost at home to Eibar, was a surprising results. Sevilla lost ground AGAIN with a home draw against Sporting Gijon, their business end of the season has started SO poorly in comparison to the first 3 quarters of the season. Real Madrid took statistically comfortable 3-0 win over Alaves, but it was maybe their worst performance of the season. Barcelona won away at Granada, but i DID NOT see that match, because my eyes was glued to Napoli vs Juventus clash. There will be a midweek round of La Liga on matchweek 30, the headline match is Barcelona vs Sevilla on 5th of April. You do not want to miss that match.

football results 1st & 2nd April, Celta Vigo vs Las Palmas
Former Villarreal star player, Giuseppe Rossi scored a hatrick on matchweek 29 match, Celta Vigo vs Las Palmas

Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga football results 1st & 2nd April

Serie A football results 1st & 2nd April, matchweek 30:

  • Sassuolo 1-2 Lazio
  • AS Roma 2-0 Empoli
  • Torino 2-2 Udinese
  • Fiorentina 1-0 Bologna
  • Chievo 1-2 Crotone
  • Genoa 0-5 Atalanta
  • Pescara 1-1 AC Milan
  • Palermo 1-3 Cagliari
  • Napoli 1-1 Juventus
  • Internazionale 1-2 Sampdoria

Atalanta won 0-5 away at Genoa, they really are the surprising package in Serie A this season. They are 5th on Serie A table, 2 points behind Lazio who’s 4th. Who saw that coming? AC Milan continues to suck, no news there… Napoli vs Juventus match was just as good as expected, better yet the match is “replayed” on Wednesday 5th of April. Another great match from Italy, coming as the other Coppa Italia Semifinal on Tuesday 4th of April, AS Roma vs Lazio, or in other words “Derby della Capitale”.

Ligue 1 football results 1st & 2nd April, matchweek 31 (and French League Cup final result):

  • Guingamp 1-0 AS Nancy
  • Marseille 1-1 Dijon
  • Bastia 0-1 Lille
  • Rennes 1-1 Lyon
  • Montpellier 0-1 Toulouse
  • Nantes 2-1 Angers
  • Lorient 1-0 Caen
  • Nice 2-1 Bordeaux
  • Metz vs PSG (postponed due to French League cup final)
  • AS Monaco vs Saint-Etienne (postponed due to French League cup final)
  • French League Cup Final: AS Monaco 1-4 PSG

The French League cup final, was a decent match, though the meltdown of AS Monaco was little bit disappointing. Other than that, the actual Ligue 1 didn’t offer much of anything this match-week. As two of the matches was postponed due to the League Cup Final, one of those matches would have been really interesting; AS Monaco vs Saint-Etienne.

Bundesliga football results 1st & 2nd April, matchweek 26:

  • Hertha Berlin 1-3 Hoffenheim
  • Bayern Munich 6-0 Augsburg
  • RB Leipzig 4-0 Darmstadt
  • Shaclke04 1-1 BVB
  • Freiburg 2-5 Werder Bremen
  • Hamburger SV 2-1 Köln
  • Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach
  • Ingolstadt 2-1 Mainz05
  • Bayer Leverkusen 3-3 Wolfsburg

Bayern Munich and especially Robert Lewandowski are on scary form, that’s not good news for Real Madrid and their powder-puff BBC. One of the BIG matches i unfortunately missed this weekend was the Ruhr Derby, listed among the best matched of April fools football weekend. But there were simply too many big matches being played at the same time. Leverkusen vs Wolfsburg was a decent match as well.

That’s it for a quick football results 1st & 2nd of April post, TOP 5 European League results. As an honorable mention outside the TOP 5 leagues; O Clássico which was played on Saturday, between Benfica and Porto the match ended 1-1. And only 1 point separate Benfica and Porto in the Portuguese Primera Liga table, with a handful of matches left. It will be interesting rest of the season there.
